Not Alone, Ever
On the path to the cross, you are not alone. I am not alone. Jesus walks beside me, He walks with you. He has been there before and knows the way. He said that He’d never leave us. We are not alone.
Right after Jesus tells His disciples that He was going to be killed, He told them to take up their cross and follow Him. His life was an example for them.
You and I can relate to His journey to the cross. That brings me comfort. When I see how He struggled to say no to His flesh, it makes it just a little bit easier for me to say no to my flesh.
As I see Him denying Himself, I can do the same. He had help and so do I. The same help from the Holy Spirit.
He struggled. I struggle. At times, He was in mental and emotional pain. There will be times when I will be in mental and emotional pain. Just as He did, so do we.
He had to deal with pride. I deal with pride. He had to endure being misunderstood. I can endure being misunderstood. He was used. I will be used.
Experiencing the crucified life with Him helps me to realize that I am not alone on this journey.
Prayer: Oh Lord Jesus, may I remember that you went where I am going and You will never leave me on this journey. Amen
