Have You Lost Touch?

We all lose touch with God in our daily lives. That was not meant to be. We are meant to live in His Presence all the time. God promised to never leave us or forsake us. In reality, it is we who leave Him as we carry on with life.

When we set Him aside to attend to our responsibilities, we cut ourselves off from Him. It is not intentional. It is done in ignorance. We compartmentalize our life. God and our spiritual life is separate from our everyday life.

Instead, I can live life as if it were only God and me. I can have an ongoing conversation with God all the while doing my work, etc. While fulfilling my responsibilities and commitments, sharing with God and He sharing with me.

That is practicing the Presence of God; being present to God’s Presence. Aware of Him all around and in us.

Our own atmosphere no matter our responsibilities. God always with us. Always. God’s  Presence is the very air we breathe.

From our “bubble atmosphere” we relate to others. Always me and God. And from the paired existence we do life and relate to others.

O Holy Spirit, open our eyes to what God has for us. The peace. The calm. The knowledge of His love. The awareness of His Presence surrounding us at all times. Amen

John 14:23 …If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

John 17:23 I in them, and You in Me

John 15:9-10 As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Here is a quote from Jessie Penn-Lewis about carrying our own atmosphere, the Presence of God, with us. It begins with the words “I in you” is the outcome of….

God’s Presence is Always with the Believer
