Anchored, Centered, Safe

Anchored, Centered, Safe

cross anchor deep in water.
anchored, centered

Anchored

Living life anchored to a correct center or foundation will bring peace and calm, and hold us steady when all around us is in turmoil, troubled, disturbed, unsettled, and shifting.

We will be aligned. Not our bodies dictating our feelings or behavior. Not our soul ruling us through our feelings which have no brain. Did you know feelings can’t think? They just feel. Allowing them to rule us is submitting our lives to unthinking emotions. Emotional rollercoaster. They will take us for quite the ride.

Our center

So what center were we designed to have? What did God create for us no matter our status, occupation, race? We are so different. So unique.

Every human being was created to be filled with God, His Spirit living in our spirit which would dominate our soul(mind, will, emotions), and our soul, in turn, dominating our body. Perfectly aligned.

Centered, rooted in Christ. Anchored to a sure foundation.

If we let our soul dominate, we choose to be anchored in our self, our purposes, our abilities.

Our focus is Jesus who is our source, our leader, and our Life. If we keep our eyes on Jesus and not focused on our troubles, problems, and trials we will keep our balance. If we allow Him to live through us we need not fear. He can handle every situation.

Remember, God will provide for all your needs according to His riches. He means all. And He is very rich.

Words to light your path

Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah ESV

Isaiah 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.ESV

Isaiah 64:4 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him ESV

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.ESV

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. ESV

Join me in taking one of the above passages per day and live our day as if it is true, allowing it to take root and begin to transform our lives.

Kind Father, We place our trust in You, the One that doesn’t change, the One that is omnipotent, the One who loves us. Amen.
