Have You Received Anything From God?

Have You Received Anything From God?

Have you received anything from God?

Have you received anything from God? Did you know that we are all spiritual paupers until we receive from God?

Like what, you say? I searched to see what God offers. Have you received any of these gifts? Life is the big one because it includes so much. So I will start with that.

Have you received life?

The life that makes you complete? That makes you who you were created to be?

Jesus came to give us life abundant.

1 John 5:12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. KJV

Are you one who has ‘not life’? Are you living with not life? If so He says those who have not received life walk in darkness and are condemned. These are the words of Jesus.

John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Strong words, wouldn’t you say? But they are the words of Jesus. He offers life, but it must be received.

And John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

Have you received adoption?

John 1:11,12 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!

Ephesians 1:5 …and having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself

Galatians 4:5 …to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoptions as sons.

Have you received forgiveness?

He offers forgiveness. We have to receive it. In Christ, we have forgiveness of sins. He offers redemption and forgiveness that comes out of His rich grace. He has unlimited grace. He is rich in it.

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

Acts 26:18 …to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins…

Have you received freedom from any and all addictions?

John 8:31-32 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free.

Have you received joy?

He offers His joy and wants our joy to be full.  John 15:11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

Will you receive from God?

Did you know that salvation, reconciliation to God can not be earned? We all have to come empty-handed as spiritually destitute people. Paupers. Every person. No exceptions. All come the same way. All come to the same giver-of-life. We are all the same in God’s eyes. All need His gift of life. All.

When we die we don’t want to be paupers. God will base our entrance into heaven on whether or not we have received His gift of life. That is the only requirement. After all, He gave His all to redeem us, and it is arrogant and disrespectful for us to refuse that gift of life.

If you have not received these gifts would you consider them this week? Go to your heavenly Father and ask. He gives liberally. He has an incredible life to give to you. Turn from living independently of Him, take up your cross and follow Him. Those last three words are where you will find life abundant as He promised.

Heavenly Father, You give freely from your great riches through Your Son who You gave to pay for our redemption. How can we ever thank You enough?
