Easter—Resurrection Day!!

Easter—Resurrection Day!!

resurrection day

So what does resurrection have to do with my life as a Christian?

As many as were baptized into Christ were baptized into His death, His burial, and His resurrection. To many, that is after we die. But, it is for this life right now. Read carefully the following passages.

(Romans 6:3-5 NKJV) As many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death. Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.

When we receive Christ, we receive His life. His death, burial, resurrection, and new life are ours by faith in Christ.

(John 1:12 NKJV) But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

The power that raised Christ from the dead is in us giving us the ability to live rightly. It’s not our ability to live rightly. Do you see? It is His power, His life. Take a deep breath, you can relax. Fall back on Him. See more about this from Oswald Chambers.

(Romans 8:11 NKJV) But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Do you see what happens when you accept Jesus Christ as your savior?

Do you see how important the resurrection is? Without it, we would be powerless to live rightly on a daily basis. It is His life in us. His new life. His resurrected life that has triumphed over sin.

No more being a victim of our past. No more being held captive by addictions. No more having to be who you were. No more being stuck repeating the same mistakes over and over again. In Christ Alone we have freedom. Check out that song. It is His resurrection power that sets us free. Wow!

His resurrection life in us gives us the ability to reign in life. Reign. No more in chains. No more a victim. No more bondage. No more dark clouds hanging over us. We reign! Victoriously!

Would you like to pray to receive His life and forgiveness? See this prayer.

Words to light your path – (2 Corinthians 2:14) Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ. NKJV

Gracious Father, there is so much to this gift of salvation You have given us. Open our eyes to see who we are in Christ, to see the freedom we have in Your Son. Amen
