Prayer to Acknowledge God’s Ways Are Sovereign and Perfect

Your ways are past finding out, O Lord. Your thoughts are far above our thoughts. We bow, O Lord, before Your purity and holiness. We see Your sovereignty and we praise You. All Your ways are righteous and just. We bow before You, O King of the universe.

Your will has been accomplished this past week. You have allowed those to prosper who want evil. We can complain and grumble, but we will be grumbling against Your perfect ways. All our circumstance are ordered by Your loving, sovereign hand. Good and bad alike fulfill your perfect plans.

Our complaints are silenced before Your Majesty.  We close our mouths and stand humbly before You. We are citizens of Heaven, not citizens of where we live. We are seated in Heaven with You looking down on our earth.

Praise You O Lord, for Your ways are perfect and just. Praise You, O Lord, that Your will has been accomplished. Nothing can prevent Your will, Your plans. Nothing and no person. We bow in submission to Your glorious, just and righteous ways.

You removed Your blessing from Your people in ages past. Foreign kings flourished and conquered Your people. The dark years of Israel were in Your sovereign plans. To fulfill Your purpose, Your children suffered lean years and bondage.

Today You still have plans for Your people, as well as, the nations of the world. Glorify Your name, O Lord, above all the earth. Above all my wishes. Above all my desires. May I always remember that You are sovereign, that You are the Almighty God. And may we always remember that You love us no matter the culture we live in.

Words to light your path this week

Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Job 42:2-3  I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted. Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
