Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Marriage Supper of the Lamb

To my brothers and sisters in Christ I want to share something that will happen in the future in heaven called the marriage supper of the Lamb.

The last several months we have been studying Revelation. Sometimes it is difficult to relate that book to our everyday lives. But there is quite a bit that can speak to us.

In chapter 19 we read about the “marriage supper of the Lamb” where it says all those who are called to that supper are blessed. Do you know about that event?

It seemed God spoke to me the following message making that event very personal to each of His followers.

He’s going to say, “Mary, sit here.” “And John, come sit here.” Now replace the names I used with your name or the name of someone you know.

He is going to look directly at you and speak to you as His friend and sibling. He will look directly at you and you will have His full attention for that moment. He will be communicating with you alone.

Just that thought nearly melts me. I can barely breathe when I consider that encounter. The One who has always been, will know me and speak to me. Not to the crowds, but to me and say, “Welcome, sit here, my friend.”

It will be personal. I’ve always wondered about the meaning of Psalm 116:15. Now I believe I know. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”He is looking forward to each of us going home.

See what John 17:24 says. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me.”

Prayer, Father, I pray that our relationship with your Son will be one of close, reverent friendship.

Words to light your path this week.

  • Revelation 19:9 “Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
  • Matthew 25:21 His lord said the him, “Well done, good and faithful servant…”
  • Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
  • John 17:24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me.”
