Fragmented

Fragmented

fragmentedWhat does your life feel like each day?  Stressed? Is it fragmented?   Do you feel torn to pieces? Is there so much going on that it feels like a spinning merry-go-round?

We all have many roles to play – parent, student/employee, leader, wife/husband, brother/sister.  We are made up of many roles which switch at a moment’s notice. Often we don’t finish one responsibility before another is pushing in on us.

We begin to feel fragmented, torn to pieces, stretched beyond our limits.

At the end of the day we collapse in a recliner, take a deep breath, and wonder who we are in this busy life. If all of our roles were stripped away, who would we be?  Underneath it all, who are we, and how can we be a whole person?

If we are born again we have the life of Christ in us. I know. I know. I can almost hear the protests across the internet, the complaints saying, “I am born again, but I’m still stressed. What am I lacking?  What is the secret to a life of peace that Jesus promised?”

Many believers have invited Jesus Christ into their lives, and then do their best to live for Him as they try to manage everything in their lives.

This is a misunderstanding.

He not only wants to be in your life, but He wants to be the source of your life.

He wants to manage your life.

He wants to provide for all you need.

Every minute. Every day.

He wants to live your life.

When we were born again the very life of Christ was placed in us so that it is no longer we that live each day, every minute, but Christ that lives in us. Galatians 2:20.

When Christ died, our old nature died with Him.  When He rose from the grave to a new life, we rose with Him to a new life empowered by the power that raised Him.

Imagine that!

The power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us. Romans 8:11. Is there any greater power? No!

It is up to us to draw upon that power, the resources of God Himself, to live each day. When we step aside from the controls of our lives and allow Him to live through us it will be a different life.

The evidence of His presence will be peace, joy, love, patience, etc. Galatians 5:22-23

Lord God, help us to see that if we will let You be our very life, that You have all we need to have a life that is not torn to pieces and fragmented, but whole and restful.
