You Are Valuable

You Are Valuable

Valuable

Have you ever lost something you considered very valuable, something precious to you? How did that make you feel?

Did you know that is what happened to God? In the Garden of Eden, He lost His created beings to another. They were traitors. How did He feel? Did His lost people care that they were lost?

Don’t know.

But, He did.

Before we came to Christ, did we care that we were lost?

To the end of getting them back, God had a plan for redemption, buying them back.

Valuable to God

You and I are that valuable to Him. Let’s see what the Bible has to say about this, starting with Matthew 6:26.

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Do you feel valuable? To those who are important to you? All the time? Part of the time? Maybe you consider yourself a failure and have had all the feeling of worth beat out of you.

It is essential for each human being to feel like they are valuable to someone. God created us with that need. Sometimes we don’t find that in our parents for whatever reasons they are not able to give it, (probably because they never experienced it either). Maybe we didn’t find it during our school experience. Marriage or romantic relationships can provide a limited source of value.

God wants us to know we are valuable to Him. He created us for a life that we could enjoy with Him, with His approval. He sent His Son to pay for our sins, to redeem us from the world of sin and darkness.

You are valuable.

Know this—you are valuable. You are important. God knows all about you and every day gives you an opportunity to come to Him. He wants you. He chooses you. Will you respond to Him? Let God have a chance to show His love for you. Turn your life over to God and allow Him to lead you the rest of your life.

If you are His, daily give yourself to Him, to His care. He can be trusted.

Take a few minutes this week and listen to Father’s Love Letter.

If you haven’t read Psalm 139 lately, take time this week to see how well God knows you.

Words to light your path

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people.

John 15:9,15 As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Abba Father, sometimes we have a difficult time believing that we are valuable. Open our spiritual eyes to see the great dimensions of Your love for us.
