God Knows Your Name – Isn’t that great?!

God Knows Your Name – Isn’t that great?!

God knows your name.

He knows my name. Does God know all our names? Let’s see what the Bible says about this so we can have faith to go to Him.

There were those in Jesus’ time, like today, that claimed they should be accepted by God. They thought they were good people and told Jesus that they had performed miracles in His name and ministered in His name.

What did Jesus say? “I don’t know you. Get away from me.”

How can we be good enough to be known by God?

We can choose to act like a Christian, to read the Bible, to live right the best we can. Is that good enough? Does that give us the right to be known by Him, to be good enough to be accepted by God?

In John chapter 3, Jesus told Nicodemus, a very good man, none of that means anything; you have to be born again. Then he would be accepted into the family of God. His good life was not good enough.

So what is the secret to being known by God?

Is this something you desire? Do you crave God’s approval?

He came to His own, but His own rejected Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. See John 1:12. This is very strong belief with our whole being.

Remember this, it is not a matter of doing, it is a matter of receiving. If you have received Him, His forgiveness, His salvation, His life, then you have the right to be called His child.

If you have, then He knows your name. Nothing could be better or more important than the be known by the creator of the universe. What a privilege! To be known and loved by God is truly awesome!

To give you a perspective, the next time you fly look out the window of an airplane, imagine which of the people below you belong to God.

Or in a crowd, say at a concert, secular or Christian, or a ball game, look across the audience and wonder who belong to God. Who does God know by name?

Known by God
God knows those who belong to Him.

Would you like to read or listen to the Father’s love letter to you?

It is a privilege to belong to the King of kings. It is an honor. And it is so good to know He knows my name. I can come to Him with my troubles. In 1 Peter 5:7, it says, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” NKJV

Words to light your path –

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. (John 10:27 NKJV)

He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. (John 10:3-4 NKJV)

Loving Father, I pray that You open our eyes to understand how much You love us. Help us to receive Your Son that we might have the right to be called Your children. Thank You, so much. Amen
