Your Destiny – Your Abundant Life Following Jesus

Your Destiny – Your Abundant Life Following Jesus

You have a destiny.

                      What is your destiny?

Your DestinyGod predestined each of us to a new a beautiful life.

Ephesians 1:4-5 “…even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love, he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ.”

Ephesians 1:11 “In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will.”

Do you feel like you don’t know why you are here on earth? Don’t know what is your purpose? Does your life seem empty? It could be that you haven’t fulfilled your destiny. Your destiny to be God’s child. A member of His family. That is why He created you. Until you realize that important fact, you will always have an empty feeling.

Jesus said that He came to give us life and have it abundantly. He predestined all of us to become His children. It was not something He could force on us, but it was what He wanted. All who are born into this world are not His children. But, if we come to Him and accept His forgiveness and His life in us we can be His children.

God’s Will

God predestined that every person would come to salvation. It was His will that all be saved. What do we need to be saved from? Eternal separation from God – death. Paul told the Roman church that all have sinned and fall short. And that the wages of sin is death. Romans 3:23; 6:23.  But, he goes on to say in chapter 10 that all who calls on the name of the Lord would be saved. Good news. What a relief!

Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy 2:3-4 “…God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

But not all people want to know God. They reject Him. “But, to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12

Your Destiny

You have an awesome destiny if you will receive His life. It is every person’s destiny to be a child of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” What a privilege! What a future!

  • A new life.
  • Past is gone.
  • All is new.

Jesus is calling you to follow Him, to be his disciple. He wants to lead you and teach you how to follow Him, to live the new life He has given you.

Will you accept Him? God wants you to be His child. Will you follow Him to a new life?

Lord God, Your plan for each of us is wonderful. Help us to receive Your Son and the life You have for us.
