God Made You To Be You

God Made You To Be You

only one you

You, complete

God made you to be you, not anyone else. He wants you to be completely you, and that can only be with Him in you, completing you. Apostle Paul tells us in Colossians 2:10 that we are complete in Jesus Christ. Without His Life in us, we are missing key parts, namely Himself.

You are a temple of God

You are not to compare yourself with other people. They are not who you were created to be. Each person who receives Jesus Christ as their savior becomes the temple of God. He moves in and begins a transformation process that continues throughout life. If you allow Him to live through you, He empowers you by changing your source of power from yourself, to Him. He is your source for all you need in life.

Whatever each day brings He can handle it. He only wants you to step aside and allow Him to do it for you. Nothing is too difficult for Him. It is His power living through you, using you as He created you to be to do life.

God living through you

God wants to express Himself through us. But, we have to choose to allow Him that privilege of living through us. He created each of us specifically for the life we have. We are so used to handling it (or not handling it so well) that we don’t give Him the chance to meet life for us and through us. We assume all the responsibility when really it is His responsibility if we would allow Him.

We might not feel like we are good enough, that we are somehow lacking, that He can’t possibly use us, right?

Oh but, He created you to be you. He wants to express Himself through you the person He created. And that will be different from God expressing Himself through someone else.

God in you every day

Let God use you and live though you as He sees fit. He created you and knows what He is doing. And, oh yes, He loves you very much.

So,  deny your abilities, your resources, your ways and choose to follow Him. Take your eyes off of yourself and look to Jesus. Trust Him. Whether it is an ordinary day or a really difficult and stressful time, keep your eyes on Jesus and let Him live through you. Let God handle it. Let God live through you, the person He created.

Take one of the following verses and meditate on it for a whole day, step out in faith and act like it is true.

Words to light your path –

Psalm 139:13-16

13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. NKJV

Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of You hand. NKJV

John 15:9 A the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. NKJV

John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. NKJV

John 17:10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. NKJV

Prayer – Heavenly Father, I freely give my life to You, so You can freely transform me into the image of Your Son, make me complete and use me as You wish.
