God’s Power Is Available to Us For all of Life

God’s Power Is Available to Us For all of Life

God's power available to us

Life can get overwhelming at times. We are encouraged to be strong. We can do it, etc. But, what if we can’t? Anxiety creeps in and we begin to worry.

I give you good news. We weren’t meant to be strong. We weren’t meant to carry loads. We weren’t meant to meet all the difficulties with our own resources. That is not what we created to do. We were meant to be constantly connected to God who has unlimited resources. God’s power, as we allow His life (sap), His power to flow through us (the branches) provides all we need for life and godliness, whatever the situation.

God does not give us burdens to carry. He shares His heart and allows us to share our burdens with Him. He carries them with us.

God’s power available to meet life

We are yoked together with Him. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” NKJV

He is the strong one. We, the weak, walk beside Him. We are never alone. He is our grace, patience, counselor, shepherd, and more.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. NKJV

God’s power has no boundary

Have you heard of this song? “He Giveth More Grace.” Lyrics to He Giveth More Grace

“He Giveth More Grace” sung by Don Moen.

Words to light your path

Ephesians 3:18-19  that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. NKJV

Psalm 31:14-15a,  But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand; NKJV

In God’s kingdom, in his world, we are allowed to be weak. We are encouraged to be dependent. We have Jesus as our example. He was totally dependent on his Father. Maybe you would like to read what Andrew Murray has to share about this subject. Power and Weakness.

Father in heaven,  Help us to see the relaxed life You have for us when we are totally dependent on You connected to the vine receiving all we need for life.
