The Bible, Timeless Advice

The Bible, Timeless Advice

Simple Bible Lessons for YouThe Bible, the Word of God, is our source of guidance for all we need. I know, some may think it is outdated and irrelevant, but, it is God’s word to us, and like Him, it is timeless. It provides relevant guidance to every generation because it deals with the root of each problem. In one place the Psalmist says, “Forever, O Lord, is your word settled in heaven.” Psalm 119:89

Whether you are of generation X, a baby boomer, or were born 26A.D., the problems of the human race have always been the same. The wisest man who ever lived, King Solomon, said, “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, ‘See, this is new’? It has already been in ancient times before us.” Ecclesiastes 1:9-10

Cell phones and laptops may not be mentioned, but the human problems that go with them are the same as that of two thousand years ago. We still have marital problems, parental problems, personal relationship problems, etc. The problems of this generation are not unique.

The Bible has answers to every problem of mankind because it deals with the root of each problem. Whether it is a problem with your spouse, a child-rearing problem, a work-related problem, or a personal problem the Bible provides answers if a person is willing to look under the surface and go to the root of the problem. Only the truth will bring solutions to each problem.

Jesus said in praying to His Father, “Sanctify them through your word. Your word is truth.” John 17:17

Whatever your problem might be, chose to look below the surface. Be willing to dig down and explore what might be the root of the problem, then go to the Bible for your answer. It will be timeless and just what you need.

Words to light your path –

Psalms 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Eternal One, help us to look to You and trust You to know what we don’t know.
